Hey! I'm Mónica

Born and raised bilingual in Valencia, Spain, I’ve been fascinated by languages and have been a passionate gamer since childhood. This led me into the UK videogames industry, where I began my career as an LQA tester in a AAA studio. Later, I had the opportunity to step up and join Dovetail Games, where I now lead our wonderful Localisation team.             

What I enjoy most about my role is being a facilitator: helping my team deliver high-quality, immersive experiences for our multicultural player community. I’m also deeply interested in understanding all the moving parts of game development and production, and I enjoy working closely with other departments to coordinate schedules, processes, and deadlines.         

Outside of work, you’ll find me playing relaxing or roguelike games, cuddling and play-hunting with my cats, or trying to beat my personal records in weightlifting.      

Bonus insight: My cat‑lover level is carrying a bag of cat treats in my jacket pocket, just in case I meet a cute friend along the way! ✨
