Diversity Matters

Our Commitments

005

At Dovetail Games we are committed to providing a friendly, safe and welcoming environment for everyone who works here or with us, regardless to gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, age, religion (or lack thereof) education background and game preferences.

We are committed to improving our diversity and inclusion practices and processes and believe a diverse workforce is vital to our successes and has a positive impact for all us. Diversity is a central pillar to our people strategy, as part of this strategy we have committed to adopting inclusive recruitment processes and are working towards a goal that wherever possible individuals from underrepresented groups are included on the shortlist for interviews.

We particularly encourage applications from women, disabled, Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME), LBGTQ+ candidates and those from lower social-economic backgrounds, as these groups are underrepresented throughout the games industry.

Additionally, Dovetail Games is a Disability Confident employer. This means that we are committed to employing disabled people and will:

  • actively look to attract and recruit disabled people

  • provide a fully inclusive and accessible recruitment process

  • offer an interview to disabled applicants who meet the minimum criteria for the job

  • be flexible with assessing people so disabled applicants have the best opportunity to demonstrate that they can do the job

  • make reasonable adjustments as required.

At the individuals request all roles will be considered for part-time, term time only and job shares.

We welcome applications from ex-military personnel and from those who have the legal right to live and work in the UK, for positions on the shortage occupation list, we are a Skilled Worker sponsor employer and welcome applications from worldwide.

We are committed to promoting equal opportunities.

Dovetail Games and the Games Industry is the most diverse it has ever been, but we recognise that there is still more work to do, to move forward on this we have taken the following actions:

  •  Corporate Ambassador of Women in games, a not-for-profit advocating, supporting Women and Girls in Games and getting into games.

  •  We are a signatory for the Tech Talent Charter a leading movement in addressing inequality for the UK tech sector.

  •  Dovetail Games are a Pledge Launch Partner for UKIE*  Diversity and Inclusion campaign #RaisetheGame, a games industry collective commitment to improving diversity within the games industry, you can find the latest Game Industry UKIE census here.

  •  Disability Confident Employer a voluntary scheme to help employers make the most of the opportunities provided by employing disabled people  - implementing employee led D&I groups including, BAME, LGBTQ+, Women and Parents group.

Gender Pay Gap

board-room

At Dovetail Games, gender equality continues to be an important priority in our business and we are constantly looking at how we can continue to evolve to create an environment that rewards our colleagues fairly, enables and celebrates diversity at all levels and enables our employees to thrive.

We recognise and value our people as most important in achieving our priorities within our Strategic Plan, and it is through our people that we create our digital hobbies for passionate enthusiasts across more than 100 countries.

We are committed to improving our diversity and inclusion practices and processes and believe a diverse workforce is vital to our successes and has a positive impact for all of us. Dovetail Games and the Games Industry is the most diverse is has ever been but we recognise that there is still more work to do.

Whilst Dovetail Games is not legally required to review and publish its gender pay gap we have made the decision to do this to ensure we are transparent and continue moving in the right direction. Addressing the GPG is a priority at Dovetail Games and we are proud to share some of the changes we have made and plan to make. Each change supports creating an environment that enables all of our colleagues to succeed. We believe that by having transparency in this area it will support us to become a business that values and enables gender balance and diversity at all levels.
