Our studio is situated in a river-front building in the heart of the Historic Dockyard in Chatham, Kent, UK. We are growing fast, developing our games using cutting-edge technology and delivering these on multiple platforms: PC, PlayStation 4 and 5 and Xbox One and Series S/X

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Senior Community Manager to help us shape our Community strategy, represent our player-base within the Studio, and reinforce our strong links with our players.

Working with the wider Community, Marketing, and Development teams, you will be instrumental in building the infrastructure to maintain and nurture a vibrant and passionate community, as well as supporting, where required, other pillars of the Community team, including Social Media, Player Support, and Influencer Management.

Note: This role will likely require out-of-hours and weekend work on occasion. This will, of course, fall within your contracted hours per week.


  • Being the bridge between players and Studio, regularly communicating both ways to ensure the best possible experience for our players
  • Managing the growth of a gaming community – creating and maintaining safe and constructive community spaces, and working with internal teams to provide strong retention mechanisms within our games
  • Reporting community sentiment and feedback to the wider Studio
  • Identification and management of influential players and creators, creating a vibrant creator community, and feeding into the Dovetail Ambassador Programme where necessary
  • Using quantitative and qualitative data to inform key opportunities and community pinch-points
  • Building and maintaining a regular live streaming schedule
  • Supporting and mentoring junior members of the team along their Community journey at Dovetail

What we look for in you

  • 3 years’ experience in the games industry working with thriving PC and/or Console player communities
  • Experience using sentiment measurement tools and player data
  • Strong written and verbal communicator, both within an organisation and within our player communities
  • Being comfortable on camera and/or live streaming experience
  • Whilst there are no line reports in the role currently, management and/or mentoring experience are recommended
  • A passion for Trains and/or Fishing, and/or experience playing our games is a bonus
  • Social Media experience is a bonus
  • Experience in using Photoshop is a bonus
  • Fluency in an additional language is a bonus
