To help achieve this ambition, we are looking for a commercially minded management accountant. Reporting into the Head of Finance, they will prepare, develop and analyse financial information, as well as provide a high-quality support service by liaising with colleagues on all aspects of finance.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing monthly management accounts, including profit and loss accounts, budgets, cash flows, variance analysis and commentaries
  • Analysing financial performance and contributing to medium and long-term business planning and forecasts
  • Project accounting, analysis and allocations
  • Providing a support service by working with all departments and the management team to help make financial decisions
  • Interpreting and communicating financial data to non-financial managers
  • Continually adapt and improve management reports as agreed with Head of Finance
  • Providing information for audits

What we look for in you

  • Qualified Accountant CIMA/ACCA/ACA with minimum 3 years’ PQ experience
  • Substantial accounting experience including: monthly management accounts reporting, annual budget preparation, financial modelling, cash flow forecasting
  • Extensive experience of computerised accounting systems, preferably Xero, including report writing
  • Excellent interpersonal and team work skills
  • Business partnering experience with the ability to communicate at all levels within an organisation
  • Analytical skills with the ability to ‘think outside the box’ and assimilate data into meaningful financial information
  • Meticulous and methodical approach, with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to develop and improve report formats in line with business needs
  • Highly proficient Microsoft Office user with spreadsheet manipulation skills and an aptitude for Excel
  • Ability to deliver accurate, high quality work and reports to deadlines and required standards
  • Flexible approach to work, willing to play a full role in ensuring the success of the team
