Our studio is situated in a river-front building in the heart of the Historic Dockyard in Chatham, Kent, UK. We are growing fast, developing our games using cutting-edge technology and delivering these on multiple platforms: PC, PlayStation 4 and 5 and Xbox One and Series S/X

As part of a high-performing Finance Team within a successful, privately owned computer games developer the Finance Manager plays a pivotal role in the efficient operation and growth of our business.

Reporting to the Financial Controller the Finance Manager will work as part of the Finance Team to deliver our board reporting cycle, our budgets and business plans, support strong financial management of our business, and drive efficiencies using technology.

In this role there are opportunities to be involved in strategic projects such as new products, strategic investments, and technology development.


  • Oversight of transactional finance team regarding accounts payable, receivable, and payroll
  • Lead preparation of budgets and forecasts, working with the business
  • Support strategic initiatives such as new product development and strategic investments
  • Manage operational finance systems including general ledger and procurement
  • Prepare monthly management accounts packs and contribute to board reports
  • Lead cash cycle, including foreign currency transactions and FX hedging
  • Work with commercial finance team members to generate KPI reporting
  • Lead preparation for statutory audit
  • Liaise with external advisors regarding specific tax advice as needs arise
  • Line manage transactional finance staff

What we look for in you

  • Relevant accounting qualification (ie. ACA, ACCA, CIMA or similar)
  • Excellent proficiency in Excel
  • Strong technical accounting skills
  • Strong operational experience of managing general ledger and procurement systems
  • Familiarity with the UK business tax regime (ie. VAT, PAYE, corporation tax)
  • Good communication skills and a desire for board exposure are an advantage
  • Familiarity with the Xero general ledger are an advantage
