Do you want to work in the Gaming Industry? We are looking for a Build Engineer to support the creation of our title releases across the studio. Reporting to the Director of Product Development you will work across Dovetail‘s Unreal-based projects to support the creation of our content releases, and their delivery for review and playtesting.
You will be responsible for the maintenance and evolution of our continuous integration processes and the build farms they run upon and will have the autonomy to work with our IT teams to optimise that pipeline. You will take ownership for the creation of build release notes and their distribution to reviewers and enjoy the autonomy to work with the studio development teams directly to fine tune that detail.
Alongside release deliveries, the role will see you developing automated test systems and processes to support build integrity validation and title functional QA. Here you’ll have opportunity to both research industry best practices and use-cases and bring your own initiatives to the table to help make DTG’s titles the best they can be for our players.
Your role will see you interfacing across studio teams, with close involvement with our Development Managers, QA team, Lead Engineers and Ops Submission Managers. Keeping abreast of technical, tools and process developments across the industry’s platform holders impacting content package creation and reflecting that learning back to the studio teams and your day-to-day activities.
With up to 40 build releases in a typical month, across multiple platforms, the role is never dull and is an essential one for our business - requiring an individual who’s organised, focused, passionate about multi-tasking and able to work magic under pressure.
At Dovetail Games we are passionate about empowering our people to build beautiful worlds, craft breath-taking games and do the best work of their career to deliver our vision: “By Enthusiasts, For Enthusiasts”.
